I recently enjoyed a culinary getaway at the Statesman, a hotel that beautifully blends modern aesthetics with comfort. Located conveniently within walking distance of some notable attractions, including the Chinese Museum, it serves as an ideal base for exploration. Our dining experience at Candles Restaurant was memorable. Set against a picturesque garden view, the atmosphere was both inviting and sophisticated. I savored a delightful breakfast delivered to our room, which was a wonderful touch, allowing us to enjoy our meal while planning the day ahead. The option for both continental and hot breakfasts ensured a satisfying start to our mornings. Our stay was marred by a few issues. The advertised two-bedroom suite turned out to be misleading; it featured one separate bedroom and a bed in the lounge, leading to some discomfort. the kitchenette setup raised concerns regarding hygiene, as the bathroom sink is in close proximity to the kitchenette. Despite these challenges, the Statesman stands out for its culinary offerings. I warmly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a base for both adventure and gastronomic exploration.
